1. Clean the beard position
Wash your razor and hands, and wash your face (especially the beard area).
2. Soften the beard with warm water
Dab some warm water on your face to open up your pores and soften your beard. Apply shaving foam or shaving cream to the area to be shaved, wait for 2 to 3 minutes, and then start shaving.
3. Scrape from top to bottom
The steps of shaving usually start from the upper cheeks on the left and right sides, then the beard on the upper lip, and then the corners of the face. The general rule of thumb is to start with the sparsest part of the beard and put the thickest part last. Because the shaving cream stays longer, the beard root can be further softened.
4. Rinse with warm water
After shaving, rinse with warm water, and gently pat dry the shaved area with a dry towel without rubbing hard.
5. After-shave care
The skin after shaving is somewhat damaged, so don’t rub it. Still insist on patting your face with cold water at the end, and then use aftershave care products such as aftershave water or toner, shrinking water, and aftershave honey.
Sometimes you can shave too hard and shave too hard, causing your face to bleed, and there is nothing to panic about. It should be handled calmly, and hemostatic ointment should be applied immediately, or a small ball of clean cotton or paper towel can be used to press the wound for 2 minutes. Then, dip a clean paper with a few drops of water, gently stick it on the wound, and slowly peel off the cotton or paper towel.
6. Clean the blade
Remember to rinse the knife and put it in a ventilated place to dry. To avoid bacterial growth, the blades should be changed regularly.
